CERTIFICATE OF COLOUR

CEN (European Committee for Standardization) issued a set of rules for all the European Countries about the colour of allied gold.

The rule EN 28654 standardizes some colours to avoid possible errors between two alloys defined for example pink. The colours examinated, indeed, are classified basing on precise chromatographic coordinates.

The alloys of our production which have been analyzed are: 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N.

We prepared the specimens of the above mentioned alloys following the instructions of the rule, as they needed a bright finisehd surface useful to read its colorimetry. The specimens had been given to an Institute, which has the suitable instruments and which is absolutely impartial. They measured the colorimetry coordinates, and they issued a certificate of conformity (it is at our customers’ disposal). It demonstrates that our alloys named: 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, are exaclty responding to the schedule of standard colours.

In this way, jewellers and goldsmiths, who want a particular colour defined by the rule, can contact us being sure that it is the same that their customers required.
